How long does it take? What's the process?

First you submit your order
We will send you an order confirmation next business day with the details of your order.

Then the calligraphy artwork is written and you receive a proof
Within about 10 business days of submitting your order, we will send you an email proof of your stamp to approve. This gives you a chance to make sure everything was spelled correctly. If it's approved, the stamp will ship within just a few days after you approve it!

The stamp is finalized and it's time for shipping
All U.S. orders ship via UPS Ground, which takes 1-6 days. International orders ship Airmail, which can vary in delivery times but ranges from a few days to a couple weeks. See rush orders for more information on that option.

Start to finish, custom stamps usually take about three weeks to arrive.

Will I get to see a proof?

Yes! A personalized proof will be sent to you by email after the calligraphy artwork is done. This proof ensures that everything was spelled correctly and that the style used is correct. It's an exciting preview of the stamp that you'll soon have in your hands!

What if I want to make changes?

Within 24 hours of receiving your order confirmation, you can reply with any changes at all. Change the style, change the wording, that's fine!

After 24 hours of the order confirmation, the calligraphy artwork begins so we can not accept any changes after that point.

Can I see my address written in a sample style before I decide?

Sorry, but no! The style guide displayed on the stamp order form page is the best way to preview the different options. Since custom calligraphy work is the most time intensive part of making a custom stamp, we are unable to prepare custom samples for clients. Each stamp will be written completely after we receive your order.

Can you send it as a gift?

Yes! All packages are automatically sent without an invoice inside but there is no gift wrapping or notes included. If you would like a gift message along with beautiful custom gift wrapping, please select the gift wrapping option when you check out. 

How do the stamp gift certificates work?

Each gift certificate is mailed in a beautiful little envelope containing the credit for a custom address stamp from Paperfinger. This ain't no flimsy gift certificate! The elegant presentation makes up for the fact that it's just a preview of what's to come... The gift certificate can be mailed to you or directly to the recipient, just indicate in the comments.

Can I get a rush order?

Absolutely! Typical turnaround on a standard order is about 3 weeks. For an additional $30, you can have your stamp sent to you or the receipient in one week. We skip the proof step to keep the process efficient and then it's mailed for speedy delivery. You can specify a rush order when you purchase the stamp.

Do I need an ink pad?

Yup! These classy stamps with their maple wood base and rubber pad require a separate ink pad. Keeps it old-school (and much cuter) but also gives you the flexibility of changing colors whenever you want! Check out all the ink pad colors you an choose from, a virtual rainbow! If you really want a self-inking stamp instead, that can definitely be arranged as well. Just send us a note and we'll get it all sorted out for you.

How do I order more than one stamp?

Of course! For now, you can submit each custom stamp as a separate order. If you're going to have them all shipped to the same address, we'll follow up with you to refund part of your shipping costs since we can bundle them all together!

Can you tell me more about shipping & handling?

After you approve your proof, we package up the order along with a handy tip sheet and send it to you via UPS Ground. This method is reliable, allows us to track your package and usually arrives in just a day or so within the U.S.! Shipping & Handling fees are $7.95 for each order.

What's the return policy?

Since each order is custom made, we don't offer returns but we are insistent on you being happy with a beautiful, functional stamp. If that's not the case, please contact us right away and we will work to resolve the issue and if need be, replace the stamp.
